Howzit good bro's

Just wanted to thank you all for having a hand in me stopping to smoke especially Mr.X, Bowtech, Scout,Radar and everybody else who has said something somewhere about smoking in the last 6 months. This is day no 2 and I can already start to smell again, its been 10 years but I decided that it was time, people always looked funny at me for lighting up a cigarette, can remember the judges faces at NABBA SA's last year when I had a smoke outside before I got on stage. Maybe this could be the difference between 3rd and 1st???

3rd week of my test, deca and anap course, already gained 7 pounds but now its really tough sticking to the diet, been craving biscuits and all sorts of shit, didn't think its going to be this hard... will keep you guys posted on the progress :worried:

Congrats on the decision too quit. Everyday that goes by your lungs will continue to heal and return to their original condition. Your only going to make advances and more positive changes now that you have decided to quit inhaling toxins into your body. Bro keep up the good work. You have made the wise decision to quit so stick with it. K too ya!

hey it's nothing I quit after 10 years, The first two days where the hardest. Now I just have to stop this fucking chew and I'm good to go

If you can diet down for a comp then quitting smoking should be a walk in the park :). SOunds good in theory doesnt it? LOL

Good luck mate.

In theory it makes sense, and I've heard that if you can get past a week you'll be fine, but for fuck sake its not easy, and the sugar free gum, brown rice, dry chicken breasts and veggies just aint doin the trick!!! To diet for 16 weeks is a walk in the park compared to how I feel right now, even those last 4 weeks I've never craved as much as I do now!!!!

Thanks for the encouragement guys makes it a whole lot easier...

Get some OXYCALM from the AF Store.

Seriosuly this by far is the best thing you can do to help ward of those cravings you will get for a good year after quiting. Initialy it will be fine...and you wont even think about smoking but your bound to have some craving latter when your bored or just out of habbit. The trickiest part in quiting is finding something to do in that moment where you took a cigarete break normaly or had something in your hand. I quit 3 years ago for 8 months....and started smokign again. This time im not starting again....i used to carry around some chew for the moments when i would get realy pist and was tempted. This is a great way to quit....well there is one thats even better OXYCALM....seriously. When i feel realy pist and feel some "itch" in the system...which is very very rare nowadays.....i take some of the Oxycalm. I realy do recomend and back this product for helping quiter...i give my word on that!

The first 3 days were the hardest for me. After that, it was just a matter of not THINKING about it, whereas, at first, it was a CONSTANT craving.

Then again, I WAS in basic training at the time so it made it easier because I had no choice in the matter :)

Of course, once I got out of my training, I went right back to smoking. SOB!

I'm with PJ on this one. I have never picked up the habit, thank God, but my wife has been a pack+ a day smoker for 5 years. Once she started using OxyCalm, she cut back to 3 a day without changing anything else. She is now on her 10th day without a smoke and she says that she wouldn't have ever made it this far without OxyCalm. Apparently, it really does make the urges subside.
