Beheaded American - more to the story?

Read my link above your post, they weren't friends. They did meet though. There's no way one of those dudes would befriend a jew.

Yeah, I just read the cnn story you posted - the NBC news guys screwed up then. They made it sound pretty bad....

The more I read the more I'm inclined to think there's more to the story myself. But I'll pose the unthinkable. He told other guests at the hotel where he stayed that he had been turned over to American military. He also told his family and friends stateside the same thing in emails and phone calls. Yet the military denies detaining him.

It also turns out, though it's rarely mentioned in the reporting, that he had been doing work at the notorious prison where prisoners were abused.

It seems just as possible as your scenario that our very own CIA turned him over to the butchers to divert attention from the emerging scandal about prisoner abuse.

I'd even consider that he was a hitman employed by the CIA.

That actually crossed my mind also. His death will quickly sink the Iraqi abuse story.

I'm not so sure. Had the military/bush administration released all the pics at once, then I'd agree with you. Instead they are releasing them in spurts, thus prolonging the whole fiasco.

You're not too bright are ya? You're new here (or at least your handle is, so I will give you a break.

I never said CNN was the whole story. The other guy said I was 'wrong' and then cited a newspaper article as if to prove it.

Self-conclusion? It;s also known as 'thinking for yourself' and you should look into it. :)

c'mon. we all know youre a hypocrate. you cite the news backing up what you say and yet, when someone else does the same thign, you bash them. and when someone points that out what do you do?

"youre not too bright are ya"

youve always had this 'my dad is bigger than your dad' attitude

anyone want a job in Iraq? $50-150/hr all of a sudden doesn't seem like so much money.

Yup!! It is good money, those pay rates are very real (hell, I'm making a bit over $72 an hour) and every month when I'm feeling down or one of my co-workers pisses me off, I look at my bank account. There are A LOT of dangers over here, but we at Halliburton and our client, the army, do a lot of things to protect us contractors.

I just want to relay to everyone that we are not over here working in the streets of Iraq. We work under protection at all times. My family was under the impression that we did that. NO! It's just simply not true, and as a matter of fact, we can be fired for leaving the military camps.

On my final note: Berg was over here "looking" for work. I remember when they picked him up. The guy was doing some STUPID things. Don't let the media have you believe that he was a contractor. He didn't work for ANYBODY.

PS. Test enanthate 250 is $1 over here. The men use it for a Viagra type effect. A man can get worn out with 2 or 3 wives. TEST IS BEST!

He was doing work at Abu Ghraib as well?

Interesting. Yeah, he could have been set up to deflect criticism; my original take was that Iraqi police set him up as they knew he was Jewish, unarmed and independent, and an Iraqi policeman had a link to an insurgent group.

But that seems questionable too. The previaling attitude of the Iraqi police is probably "don't fuck with Americans". So would they do this?

Let's look at at "outcomes"

1. Criticism of the abuse at Abu Ghraib has all but been silenced - in fact justified - in the minds of many. Even if the new pictures come out, it becomes a question of "stupid reservists" vs. a vicious murder. The abuse scandal goes away when a few low level guys are court martialed, yet it had been so bad that Bush went on TV in te middle east and apologized.

Note: Bush could not think of one mistake leading up to 9/11, but he apologized for the abuse scandal. RE-elections are a bitch huh?

2. There is a new enemy to focus on: this Al-Zarkawi guy. (Where is bin laden?). Zarkawi is from Jordan I believe, but he operates in Iraq and has ties to al-Qaeda. Finally, a link to al-Qaeda in Iraq.

The invasion can be prolonged, the abuse scandal goes under the rug, and there is a new enemy in country.

Not too bad, if you're the sitting President who launched the war.

Read between the lies.
