from reading previous posts one thing becomes obvious to me... a whole bunch of people either work for the PD or one of their family members do.... (just what i got out of this)
anyway... the first cop was waiting before the second cop pulled up... why didnt the driver try to pull away before backup arrived?
I don't know why. Why did he lead the cops in a pursuit? (assuming the driver you mentioned was the suspect)
Officer 1 isnt in front of the car... hes on the drivers side near front tire... he then steps in front of the car as its pulling away... thats his OWN STUPID FAULT... he wasnt in the line of the car until he put himself there.... and then uses this as an excuse to shoot at the vehicle...
If you step in front of a stopped car, and the driver clearly sees that you're there, does that give him/her the right to run you over? No, it doesn't. The only "excuse" that the cop used was that his life was in danger, nothing wrong with that.
the second officer stops his car at least 15 feet away from the back of the suspects car... the officer obviously saw his partner waiting with his gun drawn and his car blocking the driver in.... SO why didnt he box the suspect in?
The cop did try to box the suspect in. If you saw in the beginning, just before the box-in was about to happen, the suspect reversed and changed his angle. It was a bad angle the rear cop car was in. You never want your window in the line of fire. The suspect obviously warranted enough suspicion to be very dangerous, this wasn't just a standard traffic stop. For all we know, the suspect could have come in being reported as armed and dangerous.
Why are they trying to pull him out of the car? why not box him in and wait until the whole task force arrived.... Anyone notice that the second cops doesnt give any clear directions to the dispatcher? listen to it again... she asks him what kind of street hes on because he blurted something over the net then ran to bash the window of the car in.... and hes not there to answer the dispatcher...etc
They are trying to pull him out of the car because he's a threat to the cops, and the public. The suspect in the car was dangerous to everyone, especially since his car was still running and probably in gear. As far as the directions go, sometimes you can't answer your dispatcher, as things probably get very heated and chaotic after a pursuit.
Although you cant see it... im betting that the car pulls away and the first officer is out of the way.... and hes still firing at the vehicle... which means hes firing into on coming traffic and probably in a residential neighborhood... thats just about as scary as saying the driver might hit some young girl... isnt it?
All this information is irrelavent and your subjective opinion. I could say, that out of camera view, perhaps there's a crippled old woman who just happened to fall down, and the suspect was about to inadvertantly run her over. Sorry, you just don't know until you see it on footage, or you were there.
Yes, cops are assholes... thats what happens when you give a retired military/ bully/ extremist/ small guy that got picked on in school a gun and tell him that he protects every aspect of our society... that shit would go to anyones head.
I might as well say that all cop-haters are uneducated, pot-smoking, skinny, spike-wearing whiny anarchists, but that would be bad for my character and opinions, because I know that's not true
