I the guy wanted to run over the cop, he could have easily. It didn't look like he was trying to endanger the cops life, just trying to make him get out of the way. If he was trying to run him over, he would have floored it. I don't think it's justified. Like others stated, they could have shot the tires or something.

WE HAD A CASE IN PHX LAST YEAR...A LADY TRIED TO FILL A FAKE SCRIPTION AT A WALGREENS DRIVE THROUGH< AND A COP GOT IN FRONT OF HER< SHE TRIED TO GO AROUND HIM AND LEAVE BECAUSE HER NATURAL INSTINCT WAS TO BE SCARED AND TAKE FLIGHT< HE SHOT HER DEAD WITH HER YEAR OLD KID IN THE FRONT SEAT NEXT TO HER.

Ive seen video of guys getting aressted in Uk after a high speed pursuit....the popo simply walked over to the car once he did pullover, and was just like "Hey buddy cmon" and they both walked back to the police car side by side with the aresstee sitting in the front seat. Im pretty sure he never handcuffed him. Talk about civilized!

c) It's completely self defense. Someone starts to drive a car towards you and it's up to the cop to GUESS if the driver is trying to kill him or trying to get away? Please.

Oh - I'm definitely not one to say that many cops aren't complete fuck faces. Many are . . . I'm sure that many of us have our little stories about cops . . . . but dumbasses with a gun pointed at them, not getting out of a car for whatever he did in the first place, etc. etc. would make me, if I were an officer, pissed off too. Especially after all of this AND the guy pushing my ass out of the way with his car.

I disagreed with the whole gas station incident that was broadcast on tv - I disagreed with the cops' handling of it - that is - but I don't disagree with everything that they do. From the looks of the video - if this guy didn't listen to cops with a gun - then there's no telling what he could've done being chased thru the highways . . . and risking other peoples' lives.
