NO MAN has yet to be sent to prison in ths country for using deadly force to protect his/her life. They get 'em on illegal weapons charges, expired permits, and other shit. hehe.

Are you sure?

I think you may be very, very wrong.

The police officer should have handled the situation differently. There were other things he could have done in my opinion to avoid that.

1.) Do you live in the US?

2.) In this case, the cop needed to use deadly force.

3.) Quit buying into the "anti-cop, police brutality" bullshit. I'd like to see you spend your life on the street without getting into a fight, and then having witnesses see the whole thing, only to say you were the agressor because they had a bias against you. That's not to say that some cops are out of line against suspects, but the majority are NOT.

4.) Sometimes it takes force to conquer an opposite force.

so when you say deadly force is "ALWAYS" unnecessary, you're wrong.

i completely disagree.

1- me personally iv never benn protected by any policeman

2- i have seen a policeman use unnecessary force.

3- there is no justice in this world but your own.

4- i think iv just had a very differant upbrinigng
(every cop i ever delt with "wanted to show me his power")

5- i dont feel sorry for anycop killed because of guns because for every cop down... there 20 "criminals" blasted... every year

i dont mean to upset you bro...but....

Maybe this cop hesitated and gave it some thought like you guys suggested and tried to shoot for the legs, or try to reason with the man. Maybe he put the life of the suspect ahead of his own and. Take a look at the end result:

http://www.nbc4.tv/news/2649340/detail.html

Parents Of Murdered Cop Plea For Public's Help A veteran LAPD detective and his wife, whose rookie police officer son was gunned down on the job in Burbank, appealed for the public's help Tuesday in finding his killer.

"My son Matthew loved being a police officer, and even in light of what's happened, I don't think he would have changed his career path," Mike Pavelka said.

"Last Saturday, his life was cut short by a violent man with no regard for human life. I stand here before you asking for the public's help in bringing David (A.) Garcia to justice. Until the time that he is brought to justice, the community cannot rest knowing that such a violent man is at large."

His wife, Sue, also asked for help, her voice breaking.

"I just want to appeal to everybody to please, if they know anything about David Garcia, to call the Burbank Police Department," she said. "They can do it anonymously because I've lost my son, who I love so dearly. And it's just not fair that a man like that is out there free, so please, please call."

Pavelka and fellow Officer Gregory Campbell, 41, exchanged gunfire with two gunmen about 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Ramon Aranda, 25, of Sun Valley, died during the shootout. But David Garcia managed to escape despite a search involving Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena and San Fernando police, sheriff's deputies and California Highway Patrol officers, authorities said.

The shooting occurred when Campbell, a 15-year police veteran, stopped a Cadillac Escalade with paper plates and no window registration in the 2900 block of San Fernando Boulevard, near Buena Vista Street.

The area is known for drug dealing and car theft, and when the driver could not provide a registration, Campbell called for backup, according to Burbank police Chief Thomas Hoefel.

When Pavelka arrived, the driver and passenger in the Escalade opened fire.

Pavelka died during surgery. Campbell was listed in critical but stable condition at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, Hoefel said.

Authorities said David Garcia is 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighs about 220 pounds and has brown eyes and a shaved head.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Burbank police at (818) 238-3000.

i dont mean to upset you cause i dont know how close you are to an officer down in the line of duty.

but in my opinion there death was complete waste..

but if you live by the sword you have to deal with thoughs chooses

me personaly i hate laws that are suppose to "protect" me

if any man steps in my home i will cut him till he is confeti.

this is the way original americans lived.and how i think it should be.

every man takes his justice

dont wait around 2 hours for some young kid or old fat guy with a gun to show up.

if they dont need guns in uk and no cops die.... why do we need them here?

i often wonder this... cause i tell you what if there were no guns there would be no crimes like this.

there are no gun factorys in poor ghettos

if we didnt make them didnt sell them and didnt use them then youd have alot less pictures to post of young guys "dead but doing there duty"

very sad

He used enough force to stop the guy from killing him. The time for talking was over as they had tried for some time to get him out of the care peacefully. The driver chose to drive his car straight at the cop and the cop acted to protect his life.

was that cop trying to brake the window like 15 times and couldt lol

he could of used a night stick???

anyway... dont run from the police or do anything highly illegal and you wont get shot

He was not tryin to run over that cop! If he had been he would have floored it! and the cop would be dead, not him.
