True but it would have to be advanced stage of melanoma for that to happen in which case I am probably already F'd anyway if it is. I am hopeful that it is just basal cell carcinoma.

A good friend of mine just got diagnosed with adrenocarcinoma of the liver, but the cancerous cells appear to have traveled from his pancreas. He gets staged on Monday, but I can't imagine there being any good news.
I'm the same... blonde hair/ blue eyed and have had 5 or 6 different spots cut out, mainly off my back and one on my arm. They all looked bad but only one came back abnormal and then they just went and cut a little more out to make sure it was all gone. It sounds bad but doesn't really hurt..most of them were only a few stitches and they make for cool looking scars....I look like I've been shot in the back 5 times. LOL
It's something I watch though and keep an eye on anything that looks weird or seems new on my skin. I get my skin checked at my annual medical but if there's something weird looking, I'll go sooner. Always good to play it safe. Sunscreen etc...
