A "personal trainer" (and I use that term very loosely) at my gym (local YMCA) asked me to not drop the weights during my deadlifts. She claimed it would fall through the floor
Then she said if the weights are too heavy, I should get someone to spot me
Now, I don't drop the weights. I try to carefully put them down, but putting down 300+ pounds is going to make some noise.
Anyhow, I plan on writing them and requesting some rubber mats.
Has anyone ever been successful in getting their gym to accommodate them in situations like these? Or do you guys think I am going to have to start looking for another gym and/or start building out a home gym?
