Why the weight gain??

So I have been working out pretty hard lately, lifting heavier than previoulsy and puching myself every session. I have got my diet in check yet I seem to have gain a 2lb in 2 weeks....wtf? Is this normal? Apprecaite its not about the scales but want to inderstand why that has happened.

Diet is:

eggs on a slice of granary bread
Tuna/chicken salad
Total 0% Greek yogurt
Low carb dinner.
 
Chances are you're gaining muscle. It's denser and weighs more than fat.
 
Muscle gain in 2 weeks though? Is it possible to gain that much in 2 weeks?

Not naturally anyways, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. I'm inclined to think you are retaining extra water from something whether it be sodium, carb intake, hormone levels or something else. A little more time will give you a better picture of what is going on
