you're the one who needs to do some research. there is no such thing as 'seperation of church and state'.

???

sounds like you're regurgitating something said by some lunatic educator

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion. . . ."

at the time of its drafting, an "establishment of religion" meant preference by government of one or more religions over others...

Actualy, at the time of of its drafting, an "establishment of religion" meant "church"

how could you possibly interpret "establishment of religion" to mean "preference by government of one or more religions over others..." that interpretation makes no sense

that is exactly what curling does, he takes something out of the bible and interprets it to mean whatever the hell he wants

the lost art of reading...this is why bonerboy received
this week's award...

theres more to the "art" of reading than you realise, comprehending what one reads is also part of that "art" also you need to be able to figure out if what you have read is believeable

I thought that award was kind of cute but you have to admit it is an immature way to try to make a point on an adult chat board

point out where in the constitution it mentions anything about separation of church and state.

you obviously missed our countless arguments on this for the past 2 weeks.

"seperation from chuch and state" means not being able to to teach religion in public schools or having the 10 comandments displayed in courthouses, that type of thing

however it is worded it effectively "seperates church from state"

where is there any constitutional authority to do such a thing?

If you mean "constitutional authority" to mean what I think it means, it would belong to the courts

I am sure the framers had this covered because it has with stood the test of time and I know all this has been appealed to the highest court because of people such as curling trying to push their agendas on the rest of us

you have to understand what the aclu is about...

radical individualism...that is the absence of limits
on self gratification...sounds great doesnt it???

until you realize what their end sum goal is...

think!!!

do students want to take all those classes???

do people possess the capacity to make rational
judgments regarding heroin use???

do people want to get up and go to work???

do murders have the first amendment right
to kill others???

isnt all the above just a form of self-expression protected by the first amendment???

end sum is anarchy...to which the libs will respond with
a totalitarian regime that is "just" because it is based
on compassion...just like stalin's compassion...

and im not even touching on a majority of 9 LAWYERS (not subject to replacement by free elections), who have never functioned in the REAL WORLD overriding the wishes of the people as expressed through their lawfully elected legislators...

think!!!

Good post.

Sounds all too familar.

Supreme Court Justices not elected, which are appointed. Total BS.

Women should be able to go topless. End of story.

Don't like it? Look at something else.

Sound pollution, now there is a different story. I can't turn off my ears.
