Excerpt: I’m at the gym and there is this older dude who always does decline lifts, I never see him do flat bench or inclines. He asks me to spot him sometimes, cool dude but one of those cocky cops that I avoid. Don’t really talk to him much so thought I would pick your brains on what his logic is for always doing 5-10 sets of declines vs. Other presses. Is he just weird?

Re: why should I do declines?
Bottom chest if you dont do declines it doesnt work.
Do all inclines, flat and declines 3 sets each slow.

Re: why should I do declines?
inclines put a lot of pressure on your shoulders, declines put more pressure on lower pecs. they both are fine to do for a couple sets, but depending on them completely on chest day is not a good idea

Re: why should I do declines?
It works the bottom of the pecs. Not everyone at a gym wants what you want - who knew lol

Re: why should I do declines?
bro i do 1 or 2 sets of declines on chest days.

Re: why should I do declines?
Not something lots of people do but it is a good way to work on the lower pec area.

I'm not a huge fan of declines but many bros swear by them saying it helps build mass on the lower chest.

lower pecs, same reason you do incline for upper pecs

Re: why should I do declines?
I dont do declines. I do weighted dips for lower chest instead
