Washington Post on Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame

Accepting for the moment arguendo that Wilson "lied" (NOT!), by saying that it's Wilsons fault that she was outed because of his lie, is tantamount to saying it was acceptable collateral damage to out a CIA agent, out her front company, endanger all the agents and contacts they ever worked with, in order to respond to a political situation. To correct a "lie".

Is that your position?

If not how do you reconcile the difference?

There is nothing to accept but the truth. He is a documented liar. if you can't acknowledge that much, when even the liberal media has been forced to at this point, then you truly are lost.

And being a CIA agent is not the same as being a covert agent. Many , even most, are not. She isnt a covert agent. Not even the prosecutor is making that charge, and corrected the one time he came close to making that claim. He changed it to "classified" status. Everyone is classified, but it isn't illegal to state their name or that they are working for the CIA.

Further evidence is that no one, despite numerous confessions, is being prosecuted for outing a covert agent. How much more do you really need bra? This whole discussion is absurd and based on nothing more than your pathological need to imagine they did something wrong. They may well have, but this aint it.

The funny thing is that the executive branch has the authority to declassify anything they wish under their pervue. The CIA is such an organization. Like it or not, its the power of the President. They couldnt break that law if they wished. Elections matter. But there was no need since she was never covert.

You keep attempting to pretend that Wilson and Plame arent the issue. Of course they are. They are the ones who conspired to send a man in Wilsdon who was not only unqualified for the work, but demonstrably went in with an agenda of discrediting the war justification. Thats not even open for debate.

He then came home and lied repeatedly about what he found, and claimed in essence that he went their at the request of Cheney (another lie). He then printed those lies in one of the nations leading newspapers, and it was picked up by every news organization in the world.

But in your world the administration is obligated to allow those lies to be credited. Everyone is supposed to shut up and allow him and his wife to perpetrate this fraud.

if that makes any sense to you whatsoever then you really should buy stock in Kool Aid.

you're misdirecting again.

It's accepted that damage was done to ongoing work, and agents and contacts were put at risk by her outing.

classified vs not classified (still not estabished 1 way or the other btw) is irrelevant to the question of damage.

so again, I ask you if you believe it was accptable collateral damage.

if not, how do you reconcile your positions.

LOL

Accepted by who? You? Some left wing bog sites?

SHE WASNT A COVERT AGENT.

She worked in an office, in Washington DC. She was "outed" at least 12 years earlier in the Aames spy scandal, and then again inadvertently by the US State Dept to Cuba a decade+ before Bush ever took office. She couldnt be "covert" if everyone wished. She had been comprimised long before.

And dont give me that office building bullshit. Thats been laughed away logn ago.

Then argue sensically. And stop filling your heads with the ramblings of college bloggers. Use some credible sources.

Its amazing how you people will continue to grasp at these inane conspiracies long after they have been discredited by all the facts.

Im sure there are at least half a dozen here waiting for Rove to be prosecuted lol

Fine

Show me where all this universal agreement of "accepted damage" exists. Since its so accepted it should be a simple matter to find credible sources documenting the damage.

just to hammer home the point, her front company was exposed. that means all the agents and contacts were

1) put at risk (were any killed? we dont know. the CIA refused to do a damage assessment. I wonder why.)

2) no longer useful. Any ongoing work shot.

Acceptable to correct a "lie"??

You have yet to document this damage you allege

Nor to credit blame for her "outing" where it actually belongs, with her and her husband who genuinely conspired against the truth to discredit what we now know to have been credible intelligence.

Holy Bud Dwyer. I saw that on channel 10 when I was in, I think 4th grade. I had nightmares about it.

His favorite toothpaste? Aim.

What did his wife tell him when he was leaving the house? "Don't go shooting your mouth off at work today."

Kids are cruel.
