One thing I HATE about the gym...

Hey, i use the cage for straight bar curls!...And i dont think anyone is going to say shit with 165 on the bar and 22's busting out of my muthF**kng shirt.......You should try it, excellent exercise!
 
Ohhh, I've read all these posts and totally agree. But you've all forgotten about the one thing that is the daddy of all annoyances.
It's the fucking kids that work at these gyms. The "Instructors"
They spend the whole day doing an induction of some sweet honey who's boyfriend ain't there, trying to hit on her at the same time. And when they gotta demonstrate to some 56 year old mother of 4 with a hip replacement they just show them once and fuck off. WTF????

And the thing is, down my gym, only one of them is actually a 'builder. The others just prance around the gym, trying to flex their lats and annoy the sexy babes on the step machine.

One time this skinny ass instructor was just speaking to my girl while she was on the life cycle, hanging on the handle bars, with a constant Tom Cruise like grin on his face. I could tell my girl was not impressed. I decided to bring him down a peg or three.

I walked up and rubber my girls back and said "Hey babe". I turned to him and mentioned that there was some sweat on one of the benches that needed moping up. He got on with his work after that.

It wasn't mine.............honest!:mix: ;)

When you get to that point then come see me, once you get up to 45's & you put them on the curl rack bars, they are unbalanced & will stand the fucking bar up! That's why most guys use the longer bar! When I get up to my last 2 or 3 sets I take quite some time before I squat because it takes me that long to recover & get another explosive pump. You'd be the same way if you had more than 1 plate on each side, tell me how quickly you get back under it when you hit 405 for 6 or 8 reps at parallel! I also sit on equipment that I'm not using especially durring squats, have the balls to ask them if you can use the bench, I'd say 90% of the time they will let you have it. Quit being a bunch of whinning pussies, hit the gym & mind your own business. If you need something or want to work in grab that little hairless sack between your legs & find some god damn courage to say something! :mad: :mad: :mad: BTW.....Have a nice day! :D

I hate all this macho message board whining and then I go to the gym and proceded to do "my thing" and not once has anyone ever said anything more than "how many sets do you have left"

I guess you all just hate it when the "little" guy does something you dont agree with, cuz I am willing to bet you aint sayin shit to the big man!

Bar muscle sucks. You know, the overdeveloped chest and arms with the toothpick legs.....makes me laugh. Course they see me coming and leave the room, comparisons make them uncomfortable, especially when they see you deadlifting, squating and leg pressing in the heavy ranges. My gal always chuckles and walks over and asks if they want to use the adult weights today?

The other thing that sucks is the cliques. I have several gym memberships, and depending on the time of day, I'll avoid each of them. Reason is, you know folks are there to visit, they're in the way and none of them are there to work, just play. Makes me pissed when I have to ask them to move their candy ass off the leg press or hack, <fill in the blank> so I can load it for me.

I try to focus on my routine as opposed to the stupid crap other's are doing and just because some prick is doing something stupid/annoying doesn't mean I need to be a prick back. Yes, I've said things in a polite manner to guys smaller AND bigger than I.

I did rage on this one guy once, however, because he pretty much bumped into me trying to act all big and bad (the barrell under the arm syndrome). He backed off, then the rest of the time it was a "stare-down marathon".

My workout buddy isn't so nice. He will let people know and he gets right to the point. I recall him threatening this huge mofo because the guy basically kicked a girl off of a bench she was using.

I'll tell you what makes me sick, when i see a 6 foot 3 inch dude that weighs like 260 lbs at 7%BF and has zits all over his arms, a gap between his teeth, and skin discoloration from all the AS he's on, grabbing the 10lb weights to do 2 sets of seated military press/ incline flys/ bicep curls/ overhead extensions and then calls it a day! If he wasn't so GOD DAMNED BIG i'd tell him to slow down before he popped! :)

What I hate the most about the gym is how everyone fells fat from the weekend and the gym gets so packed on monday and tuesday.Then you see me site of those people to next week. Also what pisses me off is that everyone in the gym does chest on monday. :mad:
