yes .. i bought a extended warrenty on my 500$ digital cam and broke it the next day after i bought it ..lol

Nope, but I've been thinking since manufacturers these days are more focused on quantity over quality, it may be a good idea to start getting them on certain products.

How new on the market will determine.
if it is a new product I will usually buy it because realibility is a little questionable.

Price to replace will determine.
if it is inexpensive no,

I rocked that funky joint starting my junior year in high school when all my friends were babysitting I was selling these to middle aged men and makin' bank.
