R-Ala cause of acne?

Only thing in my diet that has changed in the last week is the introduction of ala before carb meals, mostly surgar. Ive never broken out on any roid, or off and now im breaking out like no tommarrow on my face. R-ala the culprit? anyone else?

I'm on week 2 of r-ALA and haven't had any breakouts (and I think if anyone was going to break out, it would be me). Have you increased sugar since on the r-ALA? How much r-ALA are you taking?

I have been taking about 400 mgs before eating meals containing a lot of sugar like 70+ g

i think im going to stop this and use other carbs instead

that is not a side effect of any ala type. lay off the sugars.

400mg is about double what you need for 70g.
Try using the formula 1g carb = 3mg R-ala.
