My home gym is a reality...

Sweet set up Gonelifting! I looked at the lat machine similiar to yours at a local fitnessresource store. Then I tried one with the chrome guide rods. The chrome rods make a world of difference.

I can later upgrade to the selectorized plate load by paying $209 for the 200lb stack or $264 for the 250lb stack.

I think that a good competition flat bench will be next on my list.

question: why did you buy a dip station? Just play around with the power rack and you can make a great dip station for around $20!

Get 4 metal rods, the length being longer than the power rack width. Place 2 rods across the bar holder.
Drill 4 holes on each of the rods, 2 such that they are across the bar holder.
Insert C-clamp to hold the rods in place.
Now get the other 2 rods, and place them parallel to the bar holder, adjust the width, and weld them to the rods that were places across the bar holder!!
If you want to remove the dip station just remove the c-clamp, and take out the dip station.

Its that simple to create a dip station. Plus you get to save a lot of space. With some more creativity you can make it more adjustable to your preference, add some rubber padding, mess around with the angle of the bars, whatever.

I cant wait to have my own house...i grew up with a home gym, my dads. Haven't had a workout like those in a long time

I can't wait to start working out at home too!

I started lifting at age 12 when my father bought me a DP bench and 165lb standard weight set. My father and I would bench press every other night (neither one of us new anything about training at that point) and my father was always a great motivator. He would always perform one more rep than me (when he could have lifted much more than that) on each exercise which made me want to match him.

Hopefully I can get my wife into lifting and eventually when we have kids I want them to grow up with training being part of thier life.

gretak- congrats...must be nice.

gonelifting quit posting that picture, it makes me jealous as hell every time i see it :D
