My home gym is a reality...

I just purchased the foundation of my future home iron dungeon.

:D

I got all my stuff from New York Barbell

This is the Power Rack I got. There were others will a larger diameter tubing but this rack has 33" between the front and back uprights. Most of the others in this price range have between 22.5" and 26".

Here is the Bench.

This is the Pulldown/Low Row Machine.
The chrome bars are a thousand times better than the kind where the carriage rides on a square tube. I can add a selectorized plate system to this later if I want.

This is the
Dip Station.

I'm getting a weighted dip belt too!

I ordered this equipment today and am going to have it delivered like a month after we move into our new home.:)

I picked up some weights today too. 2 14" spinlock dumbell collars and 16 - 10lb plates, 4 - 5lb plates and 4 - 2 1/2lb platea along with 2 - 45lb oly plates all for $100.42 That will give me dumbells from 5-80lbs.

I got the free weights from Sports Authority. They have 300lb oly sets for $99 right now. I would get 2 of them but I really don't have the place to store them till I move.

wow... one of their power racks and a bench could eliminate the need for any other equipment for me...

i take it all these prices are usd?

Yeah, all prices are U.S. $$. All equipment includes shipping too. They only charge shipping on weights and closeout equipment I think.

nice... it will run me about 500 bucks for that power rack, but i'd imagine it to be money well spent

a goodlife membership here would run me 500 bucks, i'd rather get the rack.

CONGRATS BRO!!! I`m sure you are going to like it (home training) very much.

Since I set up my home dungeon I have never worked out at a commercial gym again and I don`t miss it one bit.
I love training at home and for me there is no going back.

The time it saves, the privacy and the convienance is well worth the investment many times over and the stuff will never wear out.

Pump on .....

Yeah, I'm looking forward to lifting at home. I hate going to my gym when it's crowded so I end up going at like 9:00pm. We are building a new house and they just started framing it on Thursday so I guess we are like 70 days from moving in give or take. So I'll be putting up with the gym for at least 3 more months.

I know that I am going to miss the benefit of a decent spotter and asking my wife to spot me is probably more dangerous than maxing out alone..... Anyway, I gues thats what the safety bars are for.

I workout alone at home and use the bars for spotting. You`ll be fine.

Those are great buys that you made. Good luck with the new gym. You did`nt make the same mistakes I did when buying equipment. Good for you. I have the 26 inch deep power rack. DAMN!!! lol I wish I bought the one you have. Also I got the latmachine that is one level cheaper than yours. I would actually get the selectorised one if I could do it again. But yours looks very good compared to mine. I have almost the exact bench as you. Also some other benches and Smith machine.

I`ll post a pic in the next post.

Here it is.
