Phase One: WSB
Week 3 -- Monday
Good workout today.
ME Deadlifts
warmed up with RDL with the bar, then with 135, then power cleans with 135, 185, and 225. Then DL triples with 275 and 315
Singles: 365, 405, 455, 455, 455
-All done with a mixed grip once I got to the singles. I've never pulled this heavy w/out straps so I'm glad that there were no grip issues whatsoever. All the reps @ 455 felt good. The third one was certainly more difficult/slow than the first, but I suppose that's to be expected. My rest times weren't all that long (relative to singles, anyway - prob. 4-5 minutes at a guess). My slow point has most definitely moved up, so I think the explosion is helping, as are the box squats.
RDLs
couple warmups, 365x5x3
-Not too tough. I'm not sure what I'll do next week. Based on how today went I don't think I'll need to sub these out. I'd like to get some sort of PR on these if possible, so I'd have to pyramid - I've done 405 for 5x5 in the past and I certainly don't want to use that much volume after heavy deads. I'll have to consult my past journals to see what my best set of 5 has been...
Prehab
RDL: 135x15
ATF Squat; 135x12
Seated one-leg hamstring stretch (where one leg is out and the other is 'Indian style').
'Cat stretch' - I got on all fours and rolled my spine up, walking my fingers back and holding for a good 15 or so seconds. Did it a couple of times and it felt really good.
I really, really like deadlifting

I'm excited for next week but I'm not going to set up any sort of expectations or predictions, other than a fresh PR.
