Forearm/tendon pain caused by preacher curls

Anyone have severe pain about half way up the outside of your forearm from doing preacher curls? Its killing me, I stopped doing them for a month to let it heal, first time I tried them again the pain was back. It even hurts to do straight bar or dumbell curls, any ideas on whats going on??

I've had the same problem. If you do a search, there are a few posts discussing various reasons and techniques to try.

I've had this happen to me too, but I think it was more from what I do at work. I'm a printer and I handel a LOT of paper, we're talking an average of 30,000 sheets of paper every day. And it's not your usual "printer size" paper, it's usually about 25 inches by 35 inches.

Nonetheless, it really reminds me of shin splints only on your forearm. Think about it, same basic part of the limb, right against the bone. And very sharp. I find that if I get away from handling paper for a while or in your case preacher curls, the pain gradually goes away. But then comes right back when you go back at it.

Don't really know if there is any "cure" for this. If you find out anything please be sure to post it!!

ya it is a lot like shin splints.. same thing but in your forarm..
preacher curls work your forarm puts lot more stress there .. then the bicep..
just do a different type of exercise for a while.. one that does not agravate it..
iw will heal.. motrin will help with the pain also... just rest it.. preacher curls are not the best for your biceps anyway.. do incline curls.. or standing barbell or dumbell.. more effective..
