How much can you bad boys lift in these 3 catagories?

I'm talkin' 1 Rep, veins stickin' out, left nut ready to pop, MAX ? :kaioken:

why the seated military, lol? why not the big 3?; bench, squat, deadlift?

bench: before tricep tear: 405-415 (never tested), now: 350 or so
squat: before tear: 495 pr, now: 450 or so
seated military: who cares

you fucking big bastards are killing me I need to get ta cracking in the gym...

I have not don a one rep max in god knows how long so I can only give you my 3 rep max sorry but imo I dont see the point to a one rep max in my work outs right now.

Just indulge me, 007.
I ask because it's all shoulder(arm).
No little leg or back wiggle.

This old man can get:

350 Bench / 385 Squat/ 225 Military (sitting behind the head)

Remember you whippersnappers... I'll be 51 in a few months.
Nothing to write home about, I know... But I'm not done yet either...Bitch. :)

LOL! THAT IS NOT AN IBBF SANCTIONED LIFT. SO WHO FUCKING CARES? LOL!

That's a sack a potatoes or two, boss! Nice

hell just throwing it out there for shits and giggles bro... :)

LOL I know! I'm all about shits and giggles. You Rock, bro.

I was jammin' the guys who made fun of my "seated military press" in earlier posts.

halfcenturian is the man............I love hearing dudes that age saying "fuck off" to father time. That's exactly the attitude I want to have when I'm 50............"I ain't done yet"!!! Rock on brother!!!

whenever someone tells you how much they bench you usually have to subtract 50 lbs and thats prolly wat they might be able 2 do with bad form....i saw this kid benching the other day at my gym lol....he had that pad people put on the bar when they squat on on the bench press bar lol...the pad was used as a spring and a cushion because he was bouncing the bar of his chest so hard...he looked like an idiot...and he thought he was strong because he BARELY did 315 with a spotter lol...i also hate when someone tells me they can bench 315 and when you see him bench in the gym he goes half way down!

? ? ? ? ?

These guys are serious bodybuilders. Nobody bounces bars or embellishes by 50 pounds. Did you want to post your lifts.... or just jack this thread?

So, Post up

I am guessing because I usually dont go below three reps, EVER!

345/315/never done seated military presses for low reps

My squat sucks because of back problems from college sports. I am rehabbing it now though.

My leg press is 12 45lb plates on each side for 3.... With the sled its somewhere near 1100-1200 lbs.

yeah i never usually go below three reps either but if i was actually to max out for one rep im guessing...
bench-420
squat-maybe 480....just started training legs a yr ago....when i first started doin them my body was shaking with 225 on my neck
military press- really dont know but i can get up using 120 dbs
it really all depends how i feel and how i eat and if im rested....as everyone knows the littliest thing can throw off your bench

Same here, i use the smith for MP also. I love it!!

GO SOXXXXXXXXXX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For military presses I like to do a advanced version .
(upside down shoulder presses)
I go to the corner fo the gym in a quite place.
take off my shoes , lean up against the wall upside down ,with my feet in the air and my head touching the ground ,almost straight up but bent a little leaning into the wall with socks on so they glide up and down the wall.

Then I start to press .
It is very intense all the blood is rushing into your shoulders .you press and fight it as your let down
It is what a gymnst tuaght me years ago to build shoulder strenght
and he had some of the best shoulders I had ever seen at that time.

But the best part is it takes all the stress off your lower back .
and puts it all onto the shoulders.

They are a bitch but once you get it down they are awsome.

after a set or two I have veins ripping out of my shoulders and arms everywhere.

i might have to try that sounds interesting

I'm a little depressed after looking at this too, oh well. That MP looks interesting. I trained my shoulders this morning so I will try it next time around.

needto... test your 1RM in the big lifts (squat, dead, shoulder press) once every couple of months. Trust me, there is a point.

AND GET OFF THE SMITH MACHINE. Smith machine doesn't count.

Bench 190kg
Squat 190kg (im tall and always use to squat like a pussy, only sorted myself out recently though, now i make my ass touch my ankles so to speak)
Military - 160kg (but i only go down to inl ine with the top of my ears behind my neck, dont think i'll be able to go all the way down with no weight on the bar shoulders just fucked)

hey pops you got some impressive lifts for a half centurian!

n2, lets just say i have the head trainer broad sit on the LP machine becuase theere iis no more room to stack plates....

@ 200lbs. bodyweight I can do the following:
Squat 365lbs. (real squats, ass to the grass with a free bar)
Deadlift 455lbs.
Bench 335lbs. (I don't train heavy benches anymore... PB was 365 but that was 6 years ago)
Shoulder press 195lbs. (standing, strict form, no dip/drive)
Power Clean 225lbs.
Run 5k in about 22 min.
Run 1/4 mile in under 1:10 on a good day.

I don't think 24 plates on a angled machine is anywhere close to 1000 pounds. There is NO WAY it requires 1000lbs to press it. If it did then every chump you see avoiding squats by discracing themselfs on the leg press would be able to squat 500+ easily.

ON the other hand a guy that squats 500 can leg press the entire gym.

Seated Militery is not a lift... did someone already point that out? So lets pick a few real lifts:

Rack Jerk: 305x2
Power Clean: 292x2
Oly Back Squat/ high Bar, true ATF - No Wraps, No Suit, No Spotter: 455 x2 -
Deadlift: 550x2

These are all assistance lifts, so I do not do singles

Bench Press KILLS flexability, but I love it so I train it.

How about how much you can curl, kickback, and swiss ball incline?

i use 105s for DB tricep kickbacks

youre a fucking beast AL, comment on my abscess thread

this guy is about as old school as old blue eyes,

cut and dry!!! i love it!! no room for mistakes!!!

Bench maybe 230 BB, im repping about 200 on DB bench (total no per db), squat maxed at 405 for 2 and db military's i think highest i got was repping 85 or 90lbs dbs.

Exactly - my training is hard as fuck, and I leave it all in the gym. No room for mistakes, just adding weight to the bar. Focused motherfucker, period.

I just got goose bumps when i re-read that. Fuck i love to train.

Thanks for the props HG - sorry about the abcess and the rest of the BS you got going on. Only the strong survive bro - keep on keepin on

Bench Max ever was 365lbs, after an injury though I'm doing around 315lbs...hope to be up to 365 by summer time again, would like more.
Squat Max is 460lbs
Military........I only use dumbells but I do 100's 6-8 times depending on the day.
Deadlift Max is 475lbs, will be in the 500lbs this summer :)

This is all natural which I feel is pretty good. I'm 5'11 205lbs. I feel good about where I'm at.

Well there's no such thing as a seated military anyway.
Military press = standing OVP with heals together.

Johnson that vid in your signature is priceless, not sure whether to laugh or cry. :mix:

I really think that standing military is much easier on your back than seated personally. It just seems like when standing my back is more natural. Especially because most seats are too low to get a healthy arch in your back.

How about give your body size when quoting your lift capacities so the beginner like my self gets an Idea of your size vs strength.

BB flat bench 280
BB incline bench 225
SM squat 455
Smp sm 275

I'm 6'1 200 lbs 33 yrs old
been lifting 3yrs until then
never touched a weight max then on flat bech was 165 :)

It's funny how you rip everyone that takes a bodybuilder approach and how macho you are because you do oly lifts when in fact the weight your moving is not impressive in the least (for what you train for or tell us you train for).

Depends how much he weighs bro. For example 550lbs. x 2 reps is awesome for anyone under 220lbs. bodyweight.

What is weird about that? Looks like the BB stle training has really made you thinck... :p

And BTW - I'm 5'11, 208lbs @ about 12%. So how are my lifts not respectable. You are a fool.

I hate that clip.. it doesnt belong there with the big boys, and that was 3 years and 50lbs ago.

I am more than happy to link everyone to your youtube vids. You are as strong as they come bro.

Still queer as a transvestite, but strong none the less.

I've been told a good measure of strength is:

Squat 2x BW
Bench 1.5x BW
Dead 2.5x Bw
Row 1.5x BW
Military = BW
Curl = .75 BW

I am working towards this and have a long way to go on some lifts while others are within reach.

I'll get a one armed pullup within a year.

What percentage of the population can lift like this?

bench 385
squat 405 bad knees have to wrap them like a mofo
255
I can also break your leg with a single leg kick. lol

Bench: 245 (tore up shoulder)
Squat: 285 (tore up knees, balls are too big...going on Deca to cure that)
Seated Mil press: 135 (back is crooked, one arm is shorter than the other, and the hump on my back gets in the way of sitting properly so I can't stand up straight)

Juz kiddin? gods rot! I've never done that test....I don't do "max" lifts, but my best PR is this:
Back Squat/Rom Deadlift superset: 270x32 reps /270x32 reps in 15 minutes. Bench/Ballistic KB rows superset: 225x38 reps / 2-70lb KBx 38reps in 15min.
Standing Military press / wide grip pull ups (with -50lb assist) superset:
2-53lb KB's X 50 reps.... 50 reps of assisted wg pull ups... in 15 mintues.

I don't know...it's not all about 1 or 2 rep max lifts.... But it's MY personal best...and getting better! I'm moving up to 70lb KB's mil press next month!!! WEEK 3 of my very first cycle...I do think I'm getting stronger!

Arnold's Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding must be wrong then. So must be the Muscle and Fitness poster located in my gym.

Bench: 355
squat: 550 for 6 reps, no idea what 1 rep max would be
Seated shoulder press: 255 for 6 reps.
Deadlift: 636 for 3 reps.

fuck, knackered just writing that................

Thing is, form suffers doing any kind of max weight, and form is king.
