Part of the problem is that "Training" covers such a broad topic on that forum - bodybuilding, strongman, olympic lifter, cardio (which we all know is just a bunch of b.s. anyways -) - that members get confused by something outside their comfort zone. And I suspect some mods might feel the same way. After all how many people know or understand the olympic lifts (snatch, clean and jerk) - if at all?
It is for the best that some of this dirty laundry is getting aired and everyone knows what is trying to be accomplished for the good of the board.
I agree brother. It can be difficult to split the powerlifting and training information apart, since weight training covers powerlifting as well as bodybuilding. Im not sure if there should be a stricter seperation between the two. As for olympic lifts, theres not even a forum for that yet, and if there is its small. A structure has to be put in motion and enforced if the seperation will work. I have no problem moving the powerlifting information into the PL forum, but as you know there are different posters who frequent each forum, and some may not like this. Itll promote more communication between members who wouldnt normally talk to eachother, but that may not be a good thing. Alot to think about though.
