Crossfit

I guess thats the whole thing I don't like about it. Seems great for functional strength but these people don't look like how I want to look.
 
As long as there is crossfit, chiropractors will stay in business.
The worst form I have ever
encountered.

Maybe not all crossfit gyms are the same as the one i witnessed. But this one was a bunch of shirtless douches yelling and screaming, encouraging horrendous form and doing nothing to correct it.

Just because u can do 90 seconds of bullshit pull-ups, doesn't mean jack in the real world. Functional strength my ass. Improper lifting techniques, absolutely!

If u question this. YouTube has all the answers u need for crossfits terrible form. Run a search and judge it for yourself.
 
now go look at yourself in the mirror and think about all those synthetic chems you inject or swallow and still don't hold a candle to these guys. Eye opening huh?

300 pound yoke x 250′ and 10 back squats @ 225

400 pound yoke x 200′ and 8 back squats @ 275

500 pound yoke x 150′ and 6 back squats @ 315

600 pound yoke x 100′ and 4 back squats @ 365

700 pound yoke x 50′ and 2 back squats @ 405

Scale as needed. The final yoke should be close to a 1RM 50′ carry. The final 2 squats should feel like they’re going to break you.

I do agree with you that some crossfitters have taken the notion of kipping pullups and applied it to all weighted lifts, and that is retarded. But it is true that at least with bodyweight movements, if you have to do something similar in the real world you're not going to do a strict hang version of it. You're going to use your whole body to do it. So there I agree with crossfit principles, but not when they tell people they can deadlift 50 or 100 lbs over their max by contorting their bodies. Certain lifts have to be done strict no debate. This is why I'm not fulltime crossfit member, the people who run the places get on my nerves after awhile. Crossfit is just a brand name so they get you to sign up at liscensed gym. Crossfit is metabolic conditioning training and it's been around in the military and in professional fighting for ages.
