Courtney's Log

k so here is the update.. training has been good and food has been a little sporadic.. the show is on November 1 so I have a little less than 2 weeks to prepare... and way to much work!!

tomorrow I will start logging my meals again....

spent today over 300 bucks on Beverly products so I am officially all the way in now.... I have been playing with there stuff and meal plan for a few months now and I am very impressed with the results and products thus far so I am going to try there complete recommendation for the next two months at least and see what the outcome is...

update on the boy.. he left for his business trip this morning.. i know BOOO!!! and I miss him already.. when he got off the plane his boss took his cell phone (he did this to everyone) he wants there undivided attention till Saturday (yeah his boss is a control freak). so this will be the longest period of time I will go without speaking to him since we started talking... which right now is probably a good thing so we can have some time to think things through part of me wishes it would have been that full week.. 4 days isn't long enough.. he will be back on Saturday and then be here for a few days and then I turn around and fly back out there for work next week too... I just want to make sure that both of us are really ready if I move... my beer promotion just got extended until the end of December so we have some time but I am sure it will come sooner than we think...

oh and what happend to flex?

woke up this morning squeezing.. feeling a cold coming on.. BOOO so downed the Echinancea

3 egg whites + 1 yolk
1.5 cup vegetables (kale, brocolli, green & orange pepper, red onion, mushrooms
1/4 cup 100% acai juice, wheat and barley grass blend
1/4 cup pomegranate juice
1600 mg Echinaea
1000 mg vit c
vitamins
2 Lean Out

last week before photoshoot I tried a variation of the 3 day diet by perricone but with NO SODIUM it really helped to tighten my face up and give me a really nice glow.. so I am going to do that again over this weekend... 10 days and counting till the show

Is that from the book, The Perricone Promise? Have you read it? :)

I didn't write down exactly how I ate but this is the three day diet...


Breakfast

3 egg omelet and/or 4-6 oz. grilled salmon
(I do not recommend smoked salmon or lox on the three-day diet because of the salt intake)
-had 5oz of salmon got WILD salmon

½ cup cooked oatmeal (not instant)
(Cooked oatmeal is a great source of fiber, low glycemic carbohydrates)
-I didn't eat this because I was going for low carbs

2” wedge of cantaloupe or 1/3 cup fresh berries
(Cantaloupe is very hydrating to the skin and contains important antioxidants – blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries are high in antioxidants)

No Juice, No Coffee or Toast
(If you normally drink large amounts of coffee, drink black or green tea to prevent caffeine withdrawal)

8-12 oz. spring water
(Per meal)
-I drank WAY more water

Lunch

4 – 6 oz. grilled salmon
(Option: you can also use canned salmon and mix a little mayo and fresh squeezed lemon)

2 cups green salad made with romaine lettuce garnish or other dark leafy greens
Dressing: extra virgin olive oil and fresh squeezed lemon to taste

1 kiwi fruit or cantaloupe and berries as above

8 – 12 oz. spring water

Snack

1 apple

2 oz. slice of turkey breast or 6 oz. plain yogurt

Small handful of hazelnuts, walnuts or almonds
(Great source of fatty acids and folic acid)

Dinner

4-6 oz. fresh grilled salmon

Green salad (as described above)

½ cup steamed veggies
(Especially asparagus, broccoli, spinach, etc. NO root vegetables, such as potatoes, carrots, beets, parsnips, etc)

Cantaloupe and berries

8 –12 oz. spring water

Before Bedtime Snack

1 pear or apple

2 oz. sliced chicken or turkey breast or 6 oz. plain yogurt

Small handful of hazelnuts, walnuts or almonds


so didn't eat the yogurt because I only had 4 days to prepare for the shoot and dairy bloats me... I ate boiled chicken instead of the turkey also ate a lot of raw salmon at sushii places...

tried this diet on recommendation from my facialist... last big shoot I did was in june and the day after the shoot I had to look ripped for a contest of shorts... so for the shoot my body look really good I followed a pre-contest before.. Problem was my face look VERY depleted and "rough" if you know what I mean .. I looked REALLY tired.. and for photos I have to have a balance body has to look tight but my face has to glow as well...

so I tried the perricone last week and was VERY impressed with the results I have problems with swelling in my face I always look "round" and this really helped me to have my check bones more chisled and look refreshed at the same time...

starfish I have been reading the perricone promise and it has a lot of good info in there but I dont buy into all of it. I wont spend the money on his products. I used dermalogica and murad products and LOVE them!!!

but the superfoods as he calls them I am adding into my diet...

i am going to be playing around with his diet and the diet I got from beverly for the next few days getting prepared for my show...

yeah I did eat the fruit I didn't count those as carbs I know I should have but they help my skin a LOT so I bent the rules a bit...
