RyanH, contraction Don't EVER talk about what you haven't
actually experienced.
I'll tell you guys a little story.
I used to live in Ottawa. When I went there I was only 12
and EXTREMELY naive. Yes, my mother had raised me
to be very tolerant of other people. She was VERY MUCH
against racism. I had gone to private schools all my
life and had met some very decent black people who
I was happy to call friends.
Anyways, the first year I was In Ottawa, my mother put me in
a public school because the admissions deadline to a private
school she wanted me to go to had passed. I really
didn't care. I was just a naive 13-year old kid. Athletic
and very sports-oriented.
Anyways, my FIRST DAY of schools some black guy and
his 3-man posse tried to "roll" me for my Chicago
Bulls hat. I thought he was just joking when he took it
of my head, but I realized I was mistaken when I
ooked as his demeanour; "This is MY hat now, so what
are you going to do about it"-kind-of-demeanour.
I approached closer to be a little bit more forceful(remember
I was very naive. NOT violent at all), and his 3-man posse
jumped me.
At that point my "survival" instinct kicked into overdrive.
I managed to get the 3 black guys off me(They weren't very
big, just lanky) with some wrestling-moves(I actually
broke one guys arm) and then proceeded to get my hat back.
During all this time the guy with the hat had been kcking me
btw. Anyways, he swung at me and I ducked, I THEN hit him
VERY hard right on the ribs and broke 5 of them. He collapsed
with the wind knocked out of him.
I just retrieved my hat and went home.
Needless to say my mother was shocked when the school
wanted to suspend ME.
In the end however, I got a months worth of detention.
I don't think I ever saw my mother so angry.
After that, EVERY black guy left me alone.
Thats the only currency they know. VIOLENCE.
You're stronger than they are: Then they leave you alone.
If you aren't: THEY WILL PREY ON YOU.
(White assholes also exist in HS, but they're numbers
are far fewer than black assholes)
It was quite a rude awakening for me.
I was a 13-year old innocent, naive kid with ABSOLUTELY
NO INKLING as to what racism was. I had never
experienced it. If you want a template to see how
black people are then feel free to use me.
On an ending note however, education is the great
equalizer I think. I have not met
ONE black guy in University who behaves like
the VAST MAJORITY of the black people in
the public school system.
In fact I have quite a few black friends.
Godspeed
