black conservatives take racial heat for supporting tea partying

and unfortunately what's ruining it. Although what's happening in this country is more of a function of humans than it is about a form of economics. We're not responsible enough as a society to enact capitalism.

Yeah, the non-capitalist models have all done so well.

Vietnam hasn't done too bad for itself...remember that little shit hole we JUST HAD to invade 30 odd years ago? They're not perfect, but their stable and have adopted alot of free market principles "slowly" and on their own terms. Maybe one day they will be a full blown capitalist society.....but they will have gotten that way by being socialist first. That's what Marx had in mind by the way....something capitalists don't like to share. His utopian society was a completely free market one...but in his opinion, you couldn't get there without having a socialist base first. History will more than likely prove him right....at least if things continue as they are.

LOL at Vietnam comparison. What a paradise.

Please provide a link to Marx writing that his utopian society was a completely free market one. This should be interesting.

I'll counter with this: we're not responsible enough as a society to enact socialism. There are simply too many lazy parasites who'd rather milk the system than work hard and contribute to it. When that happens, those that are working hard see the leeches sucking the system dry and lose motivation to work so hard to support parasites. Socialism only works when the VAST majority of the population is a productive member of society. It doesn't work when you have generations of welfare bums by the hundreds of thousands, and illegals who don't pay taxes by the millions.

how many people do you know who have traveled there? I know a few.....not saying I want to necessarily live there cause the commies can still be sketchy, still too many old vietcong in high places. But aside from them I've heard some ridiculously good things about vietnam. Landwise it's supposed to be gods country. It's still poor, but the poor are still able to feed themselves. No they don't have a vigourous blackberry network up and running but I don't think they really care.

do your own search for once.

He wouldn't think much of our brand capitalism that's for sure. This is one of his quotes....

" Perfect capitalism has no monopolies, unions, government interference, special advantages for anyone. Just pure competition."

sounds reasonable doesn't it? but he would argue that humans are near incapable of actually implimenting such a system due to our innate nature. Therefore communism/socialism is the eventuality and then "MAYBE" a transition to a pure competitive market. Emphasis on "pure". Or maybe the transition never happens, it's all up to the people. The guy was right smack on. He was more than just an economist, he actually understood human beings in ways that no other economic philosopher has.

and I first heard about this from friends of mine who went to see a talk from a russian expat in new york, I think it was either columbia or carnegie where they saw him. This was some years ago so I don't remember who the guy was.....he was some exiled economist from the old soviet union.

Our VP of manufacturing goes there periodically, as we are looking for an asian manufacturing location to compliment our Costa Rican, Guatemalan and Dominican Republic manufacturing locations. That should probably count.

Translation: Plunkey caught me talking out of my ass yet again.

I'll be excited to see that Marx quote. Post up!

Good, than I'm sure you were aware that they had the second biggest leap in GDP among the asian nations and they are being touted as a future asian power......I'm sure you knew that before you opened your proverbial pie hole, right? Or maybe your homeboy just lands at the airport and takes a limo to the nearest 5 star hotel and doesn't dare venture outside or really give a fuck? That's probably the case...like anyone remotely related to you would have any sort of curiousity about the world around them for even just a moment. It was probably just meetings with prospective vietnamese business owners that we're going to teach how to properly exploit and mistreat a burgeoning working class.....right? That's it isn't it? lol

the translation is that I'm tired of going to the "let me google that for you dipshit" website.

really? you're really this retarded? are you having problem with reading comprehension?

Damn those evil capitalists! Let's take a moment and reflect on why we'd even be considering them as a LCC for manufacturing. Hmmm... Their weather maybe?

Oh, and guess what else Marx said? He said that hippy, mongoloid-looking, unemployed potheads should all be lined-up against a wall and shot. You provide me a link to your claim then I'll follow suit.

:)

precisely because they have had 50+ years of socialism under their belt that stabilized the country from what it was in the 70's. How you don't see that this example is helping the point I've been making in the last few points is beyond flabbergasting. Sometimes you are a brick wall.....I am completely owning you and you know it which is why you wrote what's below....lol

really? I thought he said doughy old pasty white ruddy chubby cheeked little homunculi were who needed to shot.....but I'll check on that to make sure. No worries, I'll do my own google on that one.
