I'd correct this gentleman's statement by only saying the actual assumption is all nonwhites will be Dems, and being a Pub means you're traderous to your own ethnicity. Both my parents have always been uncomfortable with many of the principles of the Democratic party, and that are particularly against the current admin's policies, and yeah we aint white.

Effective enouragement of a free economy and capitalism seems to be negative correlated with socialism. As one goes up, the other goes down. I'm not aware of any country that's succeeded in doing both. That's the beef both I and my parents have with the Dems.

My dad worked very long and smart, and now he's quite wealthy. That's what the US is supposed to be about, and that's what made it powerful.

The vast majority of latinos in the US aren't Cuban though. AA are religious too, and I'd think generally as much so as latinos.

i agree cubans are a subcategory...but everything else i listed seemingly is what the GOP is about.
lotsa differences between AAs and latinos, and i think Latinos could be swayed and have more of an impact.
GOP should push hard for latino voters if they want to stay relevant.
