*I've decided I'm not going to have a second bench day, my BTN PP and delt stuff has been taking a long time in the gym.

The first thing I looked at was the last set of CGBP, so I was surprised by the weight until I read the comments. Nice PR, although you might want to be conservative next week (e.g., 2-3 pound increase) if things got a bit shady form-wise at the end. Also, clearly this lift-off business needs to stop...will you be using a monolift when you start back squatting again? ;) Unracking the bar is part of the lift, too.

Thank you! lol, yeah, HiDn. But I wasn't referencing that show... just thought it fit for that exercise. Great show though :)

i was enjoying not having to readjust my back after yolking the weight off the pins.

Na, form wise it was quality... but I may have died if it were 5lbs more. That's all. lol

lol, maybe I'm just being a lifting purist since it's something that won't impact development much either way. But it does seem to fail the BiggT Test, which I just pulled out of my ass and define as "Would BiggT do X?", where X is some questionable lifting-related activity like "do his overhead work seated", "use the Smith Machine" or "wear this size XS pink polo shirt to show off the gunz?"

If you're having trouble keeping your back tight when unracking the bar, you might need to change your setup a bit. Moving back on the bench and/or lowering the rack height are two things that come to mind as possible adjustments.

Moving back I've tried... I do that, but I need to move back down on the bench, otherwise lowering the bar right into the pins.

Rack Height?... my gyms equipment is all permanatly fixed. just like the squat rack with no adjustable safety catches :rolleyes:


OHH! Forgot to mention... after that PR, my erectors went WTF!? They were tensed up or something, felt like i just did GM's after that set. probably a form malfunction on that set. had to stretch them out after.

Well... after last night, no one would have won the bet :evil:

... after speaking with my Diet Consigliari and Mentor, i'm not allowed to eat like a douchsack tonight. Sucks cuz I didn't get my "fill" last night, i woulda eaten more had I been realistic at the time and thought ahead. But, tis my own fault. I had fun at least. Lots of billard games.

I had ~10 "light" beers, 1 q.p. with cheese, 10 nuggs, large shitty fry (horrible stale).

After that long night... nothin' like hittin' the gym:

start time: 4:10pm (lol, yah... woke up a bit late)

GP Row: 95x8, 135x5, 165x5, 185x5, 205x5, 225x5*
*Better than last week form wise.

I stretched my lasts, lumbars, hamstrings out inbetween all row sets and whatnot... felt really limber and decieded to...

Sumo DL: 225x5, 275x5, 315x2

just chalk. no belt, no straps. over/over grip. Felt DAMN smooth, i'm very pleased. Hopefully I have more pulling from the floor in my future again :)

Sumo with the close grip made me keep my ass down and not straight leg the weight up like traditional and how I used to pull. I like it.... thanks MikeM :beer:

Lat Pull Down: 120x10, 150x8, 200x6* ... I was tired

Str8 Arm Pull down: 30x10, x8 ... then got kicked out, gym closed... no time for gheighty

end time: 5:00pm
