Meh, I'm just being a whiny bitch. Since I moved out here my job has been the worst it has ever been. And that doesn't really have anything to do with me being here, it's just been straight up really bad. Like nonstop 15 hour days (including weekends) and insane travel (i.e. travelling for 4 months out of the 6 I have been here). Got assigned to some really bad projects and have not received any of the support I need.

Bottom line - I have no reason to live here and have no life. I might as well be back home and have no life. It's just not worth it.

It's got nothing to do with SD though. But it makes things much worse that I'm here. I get to look outside and see wonderful weather and fantastic opportunity but I'm stuck inside my apartment 15 hours a day working. For months.

So what? Go back east and sit inside 15 hours a day doing the same shit? Can you find something else either similar work (if you like that) or similar pay to maintain your lifestyle or better? Unfortunately, SD is not a hot bed for my industry. LA is better, NY is the place. But it is what it is. Peaks and valleys, like any job. I've just been in a 6 month valley like I've never seen in 5+ years and it happens to coincide with this great opportunity I have to live out here - cept I ain't livin. I'm just killin time (bonus K for whoever tells me where that line is from).
