Quiet Storm; The Rebirth of KB - My recovery journal

Thanks al and scots. I'm getting there, slowly, but it's all good. I'm feeling stronger and looking better each and every day.

Sat, 2/17:

PB hypers:

Did a bunch of core work. Finished with HIIT 15 mins on stair machine (L4) with 7 30second intervals of running fast.

Now I have another 3-hour training session on the motorcycle at noon. May go back to the gym later for some stretching.
 
Sun, 2/18:

Was going to take today off, but felt so damn tight that I wanted to loosen up a bit. Did 30 mins on treadmill, L3.9. Then did a bunch of stretching, entire body actually.

Thoughts after week 1 of new routine:

- I'm REALLY sore and tight today. With the training and the motorcycle riding I've been doing, this is expected. No big deal, I will adjust. It actually feels good to hurt again...
- I'm mentally in a GREAT place right now. Diet has been clean and ON POINT too.
- Somehow I haven't really lost any weight the last few weeks. Weird, cause usually I lose pretty fast when dieting, especially the first few lbs. But, I certainly haven't been starving myself and with the actual lifting, I don't have a problem. I don't care about weight, so as long as I can SEE the improvements, I'm a happy camper
- My SI joint issue I was having a month or 2 ago is all but gone. Still creeps in a little bit every now and then, but it's really been pretty invisible

is your goal really to LOSE weight, per se? i mean, you're not overweight by any stretch are you? you're likely gaining muscle mass while losing body fat (call me Captain Obvious) so the scale wont reflect your true progress. How are you PANTS fitting? PANTS.

My first and foremost goal is to get back to training without any back issues and to strengthen the core/back. Since I am not lifting heavy (and therefore will not be eating heavy) I have been eating clean and around maintenance level (or slightly below). Like most normal peeps, I have some BF% I'd like to drop and this is as good a time as any.

If I had to describe how my pants fit in one word it would be AWESOMETAGIOUS

Oh, and somehow I weighed in at 187 on the gym scale today. Think I'll find a new scale, lol. No way is that thing correct.
