seriously, some of your posts are just to argue and this is one of them. im not even answering these "points" you think youve arrived at. they are plain ridiculous.

No I wasn't "just arguing" it is my nature to question things that don't make sense to me. I just think outside the box which has always gotten me in a lot of trouble with the adult world.

I wasn't saying anything negative about your posts or saying that anyone who follows this advice is bad/wrong. I just don't understand why an alarm company would tell people such things. My questions were legitimate and do NOT place any blame on the victim whatsoever. No one ASKS to get robbed/violated. And I think it very sad that we live in times where we have to fret about such things which is often greater the nicer the neighborhood one lives in. CRIMINALS COMMUTE TO WORK TOO.

Our alarm went off accidentally in the middle of the night last night. The noise is defeaning. I have a hard time understanding why any criminal - whether they were there to rob or rape would stay around long enough to finish the dead when my entire neighborhood could hear the noise, especially in the dead of the night.

i completely understand. its a womans nature to be inquisitive. my wife is a huge pain in the balls like that. you have all valid points and provide another perspective. i think my reasoning has been explained well. i believe the rationale is sound.

Not that there isn't something cool about holding a howitzer in your hand, but jesus what a useless round to have in a gunfight. That's ridiculous muzzle rise. Fact is that two average people get in close quarters gunfight, one with a nine and the other with that battleship cannon......the nine probably wins unless the standoff was from 10 yds or less. Outside that you need some serious range time with that gun to be even remotely accurate. The dude in the video is a pimp for sure, but notice he's gloved up and he's "prepared". You reach for that thing groggy in the middle of the night and the first round that goes off is taking your wrist, you'll probably put the round right into the ceiling. For home defense a small caliber shotty still pwns all. You can just point that thing around a corner and start sweepin.

Get one of these bitches for the next time you get robbed, they aint gonna be gettin up quickly after a shot from one of these!

Redsamurai, that's exactly why I went with the .38 snub nose. It's the easiest gun in the world to shoot that still has some knock down power.

I've read that the .40 is the best overall handgun. I've fired that and a .45, but not a nine. I'm not really good at shooting anyways, don't do it much....so I can't really give much personal experience. I know guys that do and they all say if you're not a gun hound, meaning you're not at the range regularly........you want a shotty for home defense.

A .40 caliber is a semi-auto round. I specifically wanted a revolver because they don't jam and they are so simple to use. A .40 caliber is certainly a good round but wasn't what I was looking for.

i think everyone should be armed regardless these days.
sort of makes me feel lucky that i wake up at the drop of a hat... all the way on the other side of the house

im glad all they got away with were material things tho. some of the violent shit you hear about.. as rare as they may be, i dont wanna end up being one of those stories. all it takes is someone gettin the jump on you one time.
