If you live long enough.. have the government take more and more of what you've earned for yourself to give to those that are unwilling to do for them self people.. I do believe in the statement you don't work you don't eat..

As for racism, I do not believe that I am better than others based solely on the color of their skin, or others are not worthy of life based on their race...

I do reject as acceptable cultures that demonstrate the lack of respect for others. Never met a black person that wasn't racist, and most whites especially those that feel free to call others names and attempt to hold them from their own opinions to be bigots..

I am however a realist, and life and history 1st hand as well as 1 person' removed life experiences have indeed made me more cynical than i would have liked to be at this point in my life. I do not apologize for my opinions or life experiences that I've lived..

on that note, much like my grandmother that was a devote "Southern Baptist bible thumper" (for those of you that use titles to label people) later in life said she came to not approve of abortion, but to see that the choice to terminate an unborn child in many cases was a good decision for the child...

agreed, and...there are significantly more beds in homeless shelters in the u.s. than there are homeless people to fill them...period...draw any conclusions that you want from that information.

WRONG! Where do you get this? i have had to call around before to try to get people into shelters as part of my job. They are very crowded, if not completely full most of the time.

...and, obviously, she should have! It was an awful thing she did. I guess she just gave up or was an angry person, anyway. I would only be speculating about her motives. That doesn't mean we need to scrap social programs, which is the only point I've been asserting.
