How many of you feel there is something special about Beef?

I don't care what the experts say about the bioavailability of red meat. When I eat red meat, I recover faster, feel stronger, and feel more energetic. When I eat the equivalent amount of protein in grams from food sources such as whey, eggs, fish or chicken, I do NOT feel the same. This is not placebo. I have always been a scientific man, trusting the research of great minds. But they are wrong about red meat. Feeling is believing, and my body tells me red meat is BOMB.

Beef

more cholesterol = more test
more zinc = more test and neccesary enzymes
more iron = increases red blood cells
more vitamin b - increases energy absorption and also aids in increase in red blood cells
more fat = more hormones
natural source of creatine
natural source of l-carnintine
plus good protein

I feel the same way. I feel completely different when my protein comes from beef instead of chicken. I was trying to split my diet with 1/2 chicken and 1/2 lean ground beef, but I got to a point to where beef was all I ate. About 1-1.5 lbs / day. Its hard to go back to just chicken.

I think beef is a great protein source as well. I feel it has more nutritional value for a hard training bodybuilder. Even on low or no carb diets I think it is far better than other protein sources. Think about a no carb diet with beef as a major protein source, and then think of one with egg, chicken, and whey. No doubt the one with beef will help you hold size and strength better, even on a strenuous workout and diet regime.-WULF
