Good OLY instructional vids

A really great aspect of those vids that I have been using for a little while now with a lot of success is the pre oly lift stretch routine..and also there's a little plyometrics routine that helps your squat, etc.

amazed everytime i watch vids like this...

so relating this to the 5x5, are our squats supposed to have that kind of tempo...?

it will take some getting used to, as i've always lowered the weight much slower, and never had that much explosion coming up... and maybe that's because of the slower decent i've been using for years...

i think the pace you go down is individual, that kid is obviously very technically efficient at squatting and can go down quickly without losing control at the bottom, hes not bouncing out of the hole. Someone with less experince might struggle to stay in control and not dive bomb at that pace. The important part is the explosion on the way up.

With squatting, speed and explosion are the ticket, but DON'T bounce at the bottom, it may look like a bounce in those vids with the fast decent and the explosive ascent, but it is more controlled than simply ''bouncing'', which is a mess waiting to happen.

Shit, this post is a year old, lol.....I deserve to buy the Markus Ruhl "squatting'' vid, complete with lil posedown for being fooled like this.
