Getting gasoline is like gambling

regular here is $2.70. but its the same here, one street its one price and you turn the corner and on the other street its .30 higher.

you know what, I did not even notice how much it is..I do know it must still be about 2.80 or so a gallon because 10 dollars gave me near 1/2 a tank

DSG or manual ?

Manual, Manuel...

I test drove an Audi A3 with the manu-matic and was impressed with it in fully auto mode, it probably made better choices than I would, but I gotta have something to do with my left foot. And I figured that if I got the paddle shifter I'd probably end up leaving it in D most of the time.

All 2006-2007 GTIs have the 2.0 liter turbo 4. It's 200HP/200lb-ft.

you dont just fillerup while you're there?

fucki let that sucker get all the way down to E, then fillerup as far as it'll go that way I track my mpg per tank. i can typcally get about 400 miles before running out of gas. more if i take a highway trip for a few hours.

but hell if i'm gonna burn through 10 buks in gas and has to go right back for more. nowdays i go about 10 days to 2 weeks between fill ups.

Get gas early in the morning. It expands with heat and you get less per "gallon" when it's hot out.
Temperature of Gasoline Affects Price: Hotter Equals Billions More
People residing in hotter climates may be dismayed to know that you may be pumping your car full of hot air, literally. Although rarely considered, it's simple physics-- as gasoline heats up in the storage tanks, it expands, becoming less dense.

Even the time of day you pump your gas can have an impact; times such as early morning are when the gas will in effect, be cheaper for the average motorist. The difference per visit is very slight, but over a year, it can add up.

In fact, U.S. consumers in their entirety are estimated to overpay for "hot air" gasoline to the sum of a whopping $2.5 billion. Gasoline stations could adjust their pumps to compensate, but cite the "expense" of the necessary retrofitting required.

Am I crazy or does this not make much sense... Isnt gasoline stored in fuel storage tanks below ground where the temp doesnt vary much?
