heal up fast big guy, if you have a medicine ball to roll your back on lying around it might help. Or just use it as an excuse to spend the weekend ont he couch :D
 
Thanks for the support. It is actually a TON better today - at this rate it'll be gone entirely very soon. Great news, because it was pretty painful yesterday.

It seems to be an erector, near the bottom, right next to my spine. I was hobbling quite a bit yesterday but today my movement has hardly been affected. We'll see what happens at the gym tomorrow (no deads or anything, but hell, the way it feels now I wouldn't even post about it).
 
As long as it's muscular, you'll be in good shape....just don't reinjure it being impatient and all should be well.

Oddly enough, absotively, posilutely no back pain today. Yessssssss!

Oly squat
Bunch of sets w/ the bar and light weight, worked up to 4 singles w/ 405 and then a backoff with 315x10

-I did a 'form geek' day. I was surprised about the absolute lack of pain in my back, but I remained a tad apprehensive. So I really sat back and felt the stretch in my glutes for these. My posterior chain is improving, but it is still most assuredly my weak link. Also, I may as well say it - it's become quite clear that my squat has dropped considerably since my drug cycle ended :(. 405 is much too challenging for a single to even CONSIDER putting 5 plates on the bar.

Standing OHP
worked up to 185x5

-Not too bad. I have not really pushed strict OHP lately. As always, held last rep locked out for a few seconds :)

Pullups
BWx6x2

I'm quite relieved that my back thing was minor. Frankly, I may have been able to pull a heavy dead today but I'm glad I didn't. This isn't a sprint, after all, so no need to get stupid now :p
 
Yeah you just relax with the deadlifting - if I were you, I'd take at least 2 months off and just let things heal. In fact, I'll let you know when to start deadlifting again :) What are friends for?
 
I hate your back off set of squats :evil:

Anyway, yeah it's good to hear the back thing is minor. Even though I thought I hurt mine from deadlifting, I really believe now that it was from being too loose at the bottom of my squat and not keeping my back tight enough. And then that deadlift set was the final straw.

So when I came back I was did a few 'Basedow' sets myself with the bar keeping picture perfect form and sitting back on my heels. Felt pretty gay I must say.

I hated that.. 2 steps forward, 2 steps back.. going back to struggling with 405 for 5 was the worst part about coming off for me.
