I've been doing some thinking, and I don't think I've allowed for adequate recovery at any point during my training since my drug cycle. I think that may be a huge part of why I don't feel like my squat is where it was.
I may take a week completely away from the weights after this light week and come back to a milder run. My hams/glutes have been fatigued for months now - I can't even remember what it feels like to approach a squat workout totally 'fresh'. So perhaps my strength is just a few off days away
I'll make the determination of whether to take a full week off at the end of this week. The fact that I'm currently deloading without much fatigue may eliminate the need for a weight-free week. When I go at it again, I'm gonna do something fairly simple, like:
M- Squat workout, perhaps working to 3 sets of 5, steady weight. Also, a press and a row/pull
W- some sort of DE lower body movement, a press and a row/pull
F- A dead session (sets/reps to be determined, but low volume) and a press and row/pull.
So 'lower body' would get one medium/light/heavy day, respectively, per week. I'd ramp weekly and possibly run an intensity phase. I'd do a similar setup on the pressing/pulling. I wanna incorporate some dips and some inclines, just 'cause
