Well tonight is the night I go for the 315 1RM for a PR.
Last time I maxed chest was after 3 months of 5x5 and went from a max of 260 to 290. This is the warm-up I did.

1 set 6 @ 205
1 set 2 @ 260
1 set 1 @ 290 1RM personal record!!
1 set 1 @ 295 failed.
My chest routine best was 240 for 5x5 all me.
Here is my plan of attack for tonight.
1 set 8 @ 135
1 set 4 @ 225
1 set 1 @ 290
1 set 1 @ 315
maybe more?
Currently I'm doing 5x3 with 270 which I got last week all by myself with only a lift off to start each set.
I got to 5x5 with 250 and then switched to 5x3 for 255-270 pounds.
I feel I'm ready but mentally still scared of the 315. What to eat or think before going in there? Does my set plan look good as far as reps and weight increases?
