Wow. This month is gonna be death - I'm planning on four weeks for this. I'd thought I'd work up to 365x20 by friday of week four. We'll see. Conditioning will have to come up if today's workout is indicative of the future.
Squat warmups/CNS primer
Sets of five with the bar, 135, 185, 225, 275, 315
Doubles w/ 365 and 405, single with 455
-This may have been a bit much. I'm just gonna do a heavy walkout next time to see if that helps. I'm still carrying some fatigue in my posterior chain, which is a bit of a surprise seeing as I deloaded last week in my standard manner. Lately my sleep has been inadequate, so hopefully getting back to a solid 8 hours a night will get this fatigue fully dissipated.
20-Rep Set: 315
-Very tough, but there's definitely room - hard to describe. The set was like this: ten steady reps, a triple, three big long breaths, another triple, several big breaths (I was fucking gasping here - no endurance), then two doubles seperated by more big breaths. No drama - the difficulty was all metabolic in my estimation. I was shaky throughout my workout after this.
Bench
warmups, 275x10x2
-These were kinda fun. It's really strange to go from singles to tens. They got tough at around rep seven, but seven through ten felt pretty much the same - with triples, if rep two is tough, rep three don't go up
Pendlay Rows
135x10, 225x10, x9
-I thought I was being lazy pegging 'em at 225, but this was brutal. I'll try to get 'em next time.
I'm not 100% on what I'm gonna run through the rest of the week. I'm set on another 20-repper on Friday, and I plan to bench, standing OHP, and inc. DB press M,W,F respectively. I'm not sure if I'm gonna do any lower body stuff on wednesdays. We'll see. Input welcome. Oh BTW (for those who were reading my last journal), elbow pain is nonexistent.
