6 plates on the bar

you should not set artificial limitations on your abilities. Much of this is in the mind. I have far exceeded what I once thought possible for me. I now realized that there is no benefit to putting any limits on what I may be able to achieve.

As for the question, 585 is a decent amount of weight, but there are many, many on this board that could get to the point where they can do that kind of weight for reps on a number of exercises. Maybe not bench, but squats, deads, rackpulls, RDLs, good mornings, ect.---sure. Many on here can already do that amount and much more.

True. Ive only been training since 94. I just started doing deads steadily a year ago. In one year and 2 months I went from 405 deadlift to a 500lb dead. Also Im not far from 6 plates on conventional deadlift rack pulls, and when pulling off the rack with the bar behind my legs Im able to get 7 and a quarter on each side on the lowest rack setting. Not to mention I get 6 plates a side (585) off the floor on the hack lift (deadlift with bar behind the legs). Im only 23 185lbs, havent even tapped into my potential yet!

oh i agree with ya on that..you haven't tapped your potential yet..neither have I..but it will be fun to see where it will take us!! i've managed to squat and dead over 6 plates..the only thing left is the bench!!LOL. tb

I've only seen it once(theres actually 600 on there), but would love to move past it...
