A "Therapist" doesnt even need any sort of medical degree or doctorate. You get all kinds...ive heard of people going to marriage counseling and the therapist goes all rogue and they got divorced. Others have gone and were able to resolve issues and be better people in their marriage. Scary!
As far as what I would choose, well Id rather have someone who put years into nursing and then became a PA, for "general" medical stuff. I've had to pretty much direct some doctors who dismissed my "headaches, confusion, memory loss, exhaustion" in the begining they were saying "your in great shape, I wish I was as healthy as you...its (anxiety, not enough sleep, stress, caffeine, etc. etc.) In the end I MADE them do an mri...next morning shit hit the fan....ooops guess no one thought it could be a brain tumor! After that I wasnt playing around, doctors in Columbus were saying "umm we need to crack your dome or your gonna peace out" Went to The Cleveland Clinic...one of top 10 brain surgeons, everyone else all stars...No Surgery (inoperable) but never waivered and never made me feel I wasnt going to keep paying taxes! chemo, and drugs...tumor is benign, (not cancer) And now Im here replying to a thread and getting ready to do shoulders!
