Whats the longest time away from the gym before you start looking like shit?

For those that lift I am curious as to how a certain amount time off would affect your lbm and muscle definition. I've been slacking lately and havn't touched a weight in 2 weeks and still look pretty much the same although I feel a little weaker.

I think the change happens slower than it seems. I feel like if I'm out for a few days, that I've lost everything, but it's all in my head. I would say it would take a month or so before you noticed much of a change in your appearance. I guess it also depends on your activity level and eating habits, too.

I say 2 weeks. It IS more on how I feel though. I`m sure body composition changes slightly but the tight hard feeling goes away starting about a week or so. I like to feel my individual muscles instead of one big blob.

For me? About 13 minutes after I stop lifting I look like shit again.

2 weeks and my body starts to get achey after about 2 weeks, id say maybe some loss of strength around a month.

I forgot to mention that I think you lose strength sooner than you lose size.

Yep. That neuromuscular junction degrades the quickest.

You can maintain muscle especially if you eat a lot and don't mind getting fat.

As for the thread topic 3-5 weeks.
