we havent made any decisions yet, but did go by a clinic to get information
going into the family planning clinic for advice and to see what all could happen almost made me sick. from the moment we pulled into the parking lot i was sick at my stomach. there was a guy about a year or two older than me with a 2y/o on one arm walking a female in on the other. you had to talk to a security guard before even getting close to the door. the door was locked from the outside, him being the only one with a key; (he did have a mullet though!)
you walk in only to find yourself in basically a chamber, where another security guard escorted you through a metal detector along with a brisk frisking. did i mention that you had to have a password in addition to your name on the list for the day? there are cameras everywhere inside and out and crying females (none look older than late twenties early very early thirties) sitting in every possible chair. every male in there makes eye contact with me as me and her walk in, it seemed like a condolence somewhat.
then after a mountain of paperwork the arduous process begins. you are taken back into a room with someone who says shes a dr. from harvard (first in her class!) but her jacket says P.A.(fishy huh?) who talks about how she has had three abortions and that basically anyone from the midwest with a biblical reason for not having an abortion is a terrible person wanting to put women in shackles only to let them out for cooking and mating. i swear this woman was posessed by the devil. anyways... payment is up front prior to service.(interesting) after hearing this physician (who probably wasnt a physician) belittle her and me for fifteen minutes about the procedure i reluctantly get up without bashing her (the fake doc's)face in for being such a terrible person and degrading her and me for our spiritual beliefs. leaving the clinic i decide to call and spill my guts to my father, who is very understanding thank God.
to get out of the clinic there are a series of doors which require one hand to hold a button and one arm to open the door which are flanked by security cameras and security guards. im thinking that i cant believe im in this place, im sure its like prison. the clinic was tucked away in a corner of a road hidden from most anything else by at least a 7 foot tall fence. i almost went and bought a stroller after leaving that place.
i cant believe what all the whack jobs that bomb clinics like that have reduced it to. it was an eye opening experience to say the least.
