very very terrible. my life is fuc#$% (serious)

we havent made any decisions yet, but did go by a clinic to get information

going into the family planning clinic for advice and to see what all could happen almost made me sick. from the moment we pulled into the parking lot i was sick at my stomach. there was a guy about a year or two older than me with a 2y/o on one arm walking a female in on the other. you had to talk to a security guard before even getting close to the door. the door was locked from the outside, him being the only one with a key; (he did have a mullet though!)

you walk in only to find yourself in basically a chamber, where another security guard escorted you through a metal detector along with a brisk frisking. did i mention that you had to have a password in addition to your name on the list for the day? there are cameras everywhere inside and out and crying females (none look older than late twenties early very early thirties) sitting in every possible chair. every male in there makes eye contact with me as me and her walk in, it seemed like a condolence somewhat.

then after a mountain of paperwork the arduous process begins. you are taken back into a room with someone who says shes a dr. from harvard (first in her class!) but her jacket says P.A.(fishy huh?) who talks about how she has had three abortions and that basically anyone from the midwest with a biblical reason for not having an abortion is a terrible person wanting to put women in shackles only to let them out for cooking and mating. i swear this woman was posessed by the devil. anyways... payment is up front prior to service.(interesting) after hearing this physician (who probably wasnt a physician) belittle her and me for fifteen minutes about the procedure i reluctantly get up without bashing her (the fake doc's)face in for being such a terrible person and degrading her and me for our spiritual beliefs. leaving the clinic i decide to call and spill my guts to my father, who is very understanding thank God.

to get out of the clinic there are a series of doors which require one hand to hold a button and one arm to open the door which are flanked by security cameras and security guards. im thinking that i cant believe im in this place, im sure its like prison. the clinic was tucked away in a corner of a road hidden from most anything else by at least a 7 foot tall fence. i almost went and bought a stroller after leaving that place.

i cant believe what all the whack jobs that bomb clinics like that have reduced it to. it was an eye opening experience to say the least.

mate get in touch with some specialist pharmacists who will be able to tell you what risk of defect is associated with the agents your girl took. do the ring around, get the best help.

normal doctors will know info 10 years old on this subject.

your best bet is in a womens and childrens hospital. track down professors who are touring giving lectures if you have to.

then make your call.

again, good luck

Wow. I think places like that make the abortion decision even that much harder than it already is, you'd think the place would be a little more "comfortable" considering what it deals with. Have clinics always been like that or is that a result of pro-life threats and actions?

oh and just thought id add, there are category X drugs which have caused maybe 3 deformed children ever, and then thre are those nasty ones which have a 1 in 3 chance. others are classified as category X based on likelihood but no actual occurrances

just thought you might like to know

cheers

Places around here like that are free and run on donations. And if you actually want to terminate a pregnancy it can be covered by insurance. (The actually procedure isn't free, but all the other stuff is donation based. Morning after pill, talking to "dr's", etc.)

I honestly would explain it to a priest or someone of your faith. I would be willing to bet they wouldn't be 100% against this, and if you could get their blessing it might help making a tough decision easier.

If there would appear to be very little chance that this pregnancy can result in a healthy, viable offspring, termination would seem to be the best bet not only for the mother but probably the most humane thing for the child as well, sad to say.

agreed.

I also was once faced with this dilemma. I had to abort my own pregnancy....

With a coathanger. It was strangely relieving....Like taking a 10lb shit.

Good luck with your decision!! And welcome to the boards!!

okay guys, this just got even more screwed up. Her mom just told her to terminate the pregnancy before she ruins her moms life and her family forever. how fucked up is that? ive put up with her mom's bitchy ass nature since i met her. this is the most fucked up part of it all. that stupid bitch.

moms post up if you would be like this and tell me why.

I guess that was mom's way of saying she wasn't gonna babysit....that's messed up that she's worrying about herself more than you two.
