Guys , I need a little insparation , I fell at work a few weeks ago and landed on my hands , I got this bad ass pain in the meaty part of you thumb near your wrist. Paid it no mind

It hurt like a bitch when I benched with the barbell cause it rides on that meaty area , paid it no mind , it'll go away , maybe it is just stone bruised.

$ weeks later it still hurts just as bad and I go to the doc to see WTF , he X-rays and it is fractured , he says that it should have healed by now but since I kept lifting it dident.

Here is the question , it doesen't start to hurt till I get to 365 so I have been just sticking with that and added 2 extra sets , but I'm gonna be starting a cycle soon and was wondering if it would hurt not going any higher that 365 and just adding repps and sets. I was hopeing to get to the 500lb mark but I don't think I'll make it through the pain. Will I get stronger and bigger by just doing say 365 for 5-8 set of 8-10 reps ? another goal was to bench 225 for 50 reps , should I just shoot for this goal ??

Any advice for me bros or docs ?:bawling:

Why can't you wait for it to heal up before you start your cycle?

Otherwise you might be wasting the juice, you never know what will happen if you attempt to tough through it, it might get worse.

I would wait until it heals, as adding more sets will only fatigue the muscle and that is not what you want. You need to overload the muscle with heavy weight that you can only do between 4-6 reps, this will allow maximum muscle fiber overload and maximum muscle fiber recruitment. If you are going to spend your $ on a good cycle, why not get wait until you heal so you can get the most out of it.

You think a little hand fracture is bad, please man, try dislocating your shoulders 3 times and then having to 6 months off and a year more to get back to your initial level. So big fucking deal, you postpone your cycle for a 2-4 weeks until it heals. Hit the legs and abs.

I guess ya'll are right , better wait , besides my mail might not even come in

I can't work legs , I already look like a freak , but I don't have good abs so I'll try that

let it heal first because what's going to happen when you get on the gear you are going to push your body and joints to a point where it can't handle the workout and something is going to pop! I advise you to wait until you are fully recovered before doing anything heavy. It can't hurt to wait it out.

Not only that you'll not be able to lift heavy because of your injury, but because of the fracture your cortisole levels are probably higher, which leads to higher catabolism. And when it hurts bad while you're lifting, your cortisole gets even higher. I would suggest to wait and try to keep the mass you have for a few weeks until it heals, and then start with your cycle. If you don't wait, you will probably end up in surgery because it won't heal properly and you will have pain permanently.
