Lump on my Glute

What is the longest it took you all to get rid of an injection lump I have a lump the size of a plumb from a Tuesday injection. No fever or anything and does feel a little warm to the touch but not unbearable pain and any lump would feel warm. I started on some antibiotics last night just in case but do not think I got it deep enough Tuesday. Anyone. If not mostly gone by Monday I will head to the docs.

take into consideration the time it takes for a deposit to be absorbed,, I took a glute shot last week, and it was the first time I didnt do exercises to get blood flowing to the area,, the area is alot sorer than usual, its been about 4 days., and it is like you said.. like a plum,, I would put a hot water pack on it,, and take an antinflammatory like advil..

Also, sometimes scar tissue can make a small lump seem alot Bigger..... If you've been injecting into your glute for the past few weeks, I'm sure that is what is making the lump seem worse...... I mean, your already paranoid youre getting an abcess, so youre constantly feeling the area, and can EASILY mistake hard tissue as part of the lump.....

i get those constantly. if they stay red and irritated and swell more over the duration, go to a doc. but most times, they will shrink a lil' every day....

I was not really concerned about an abscess more than an infection really hence the antibiotic. Even though I did and do take it very serious when sticking anything into my body. My cousin is a nurse and I made sure she walked me through it even though I believe I had it down. Just to make sure. Wiping down the stopper and site never using the same needle blah blah blah but I take this serious so I thought I would ask.

Week is comforting first week I shot only once this is the second and I spilt it into two time all three in the same spot. Would you all sugget sticking my next injection would is today in my other glute? I am concerned about at least having one side to sleep on. I am not afraid to stick it in my delts which in my opinion hurts way less anyway.

What do you all think and by the way thanks for your inputs!!

Seems like when I do cardio it adjitates it the most and makes it swell up again which is slowing down its dissapearance. Is that normal too? But like I said that last injection something did not seem right kind of in more of an angle than usual so maybe the combo of it not being as deep is not helping hah?

You should be changing injection sites FREQUENTLY.... Never stick the same spot twice in the same week..... That's MY RULE btw...... You wanna keep scar tissue to a minimum, so if youre injecting into the same spot, youre gonna get lumps and scar tissue..... Hit the Glute on day, Delt the next, other Glute, other Delt, Tricep is easy, there are many options..... Keep it rotating....

Good plan. Thanks for your input!

I have never tried the Tricep a lot of people here mention doing that. Just seems like that would be a pretty painful spot.
