about 5 months ago i was rough housing and stretch my ACL, tore my LCL, tore my lateral meniscus, dislocated my knee and broke a small piece of bone from my knee which was reattatched w/ 4 screws.

I lost 2 inches on my quad but have gained about 1 back I believe, or almost 1 inch.

I'm done with PT but do stuff on my own now.

what did you guys do for recover? What excercises. I'm not alowed to do deep squats or leg extension.. i do partial squats and leg lifts and ride the bike now.

also ho have you guys recovered? is your knee still weak?

id say you need to pay special attention to making your hamstrings and calves strong. as far as recovery, you can if you have the willpower. i have a good buddy who in our junior year of footbal tore his acl, lateral meniscus and medial meniscus in his left knee. im not sure all that he did, i know he did lots of ham and calf work, among other special rehab stuff, but he worked his butt off, i talked him into running track after he got hurt, and our junior year as a rookie he ran a 11.1, in the 100, like a 23.5 in the 2, and a 52 400. the next year he played all football season and crushed people. then in track he ran a 10.6 100, a 22.1 100, and a 49 or so 400, and also long jumped over 20 feet consistently. last year as a frosh on a college team, he led the team in tackles, and started. as he is this year. bottom line, i think his knee is strong again, and you can do it too. just learn and research as much as you can.

oh yeah, welcome to the board
