So, to make liquid creatine effective the creatine must be stabilized. If the creatine is stabilized it will not break down into a waste product - and it will remain as creatine monohydrate.
You can gain more knowledge at www.absolute-creatine.com
Creatine Monohydrate Material Data Safety Sheet:
http://www.msdsxchange.com:82/pdffiles/BAKER/C5357.PDF
under section 10: Stability
"Conditions to Avoid: Moisture & Incompatibles"
WHICH MEANS: DONT PUT YOUR CREATINE IN A MOIST PLACE, LIKE IN A BOTTLE WITH WATER AND A LITTLE DROPPER!
Absolute-creatine.com is hardly what I'd call a 100% reliable resource, someone is probably getting paid to make that site or its owned by a supplement company. I only read 1 page of it to see what it said about liquid creatine.

Q: Since creatine is unstable in a liquid form wouldn't that mean that the drinks that are sold at my gym that have creatine in them are no good? How quickly will the creatine degrade? Months, weeks, days?
A: Try hours. When put in a liquid, creatine will start to degrade into creatinine (a waste product) in just a few hours. Also, the more acidic the liquid the quicker and more complete the degradation will be.
The pre-made drinks sold out of coolers in gyms, health food stores and even convenience stores that list creatine as an ingredient are not only a waste of money but could be toxic. The creatine in these drinks has degraded into creatinine before they have even left the warehouse. And by the time you get a chance to purchase them, I would bet there are only trace amounts of creatine and large amounts of creatinine as the degradation process would be complete.
This is simple science. Creatine breaks down in a liquid in a matter of hours. Because creatine is so popular, the "drink" companies want to capitalize on it's popularity. They do this by making a creatine drink with no regard to the simple science and no regard to you as a consumer. Stay away from these drinks. They are worthless and could be potentially harmful.
