Carb Solutions bars...

Anyone ever try these?

8g of fat, 22g of protein and only 2 carbs.

A perfect snack for the ketogenic dieter, IMO.

Not bad for a high protein, low carb bar.

They sell them at target, etc for $2 each.

Let me know if anyone knows anywhere online to get them for cheaper.

I think they taste great. A whole lot better than most bars. The fudge flavor is incredible. If you close your eyes, it's like a candy bar.

on sale this week 8/4/01 - 8/10/01

If you live close to an A&P supermarket (mostly the northeast U.S.), all carb solutions products are buy-1-get-1-free this week (ending Friday, 8/10/01).

So, with the sale the bars work out to $1.14 each, and the ready-to-drink shakes work out to $1.24 each.

I really like the shakes. They are high fat (12g), moderate protein (20g) and low-carb (3g), so they are great for a ketogenic diet. I use them to get away from bacon and steak for at least one meal a day.

If you live near a Costco or BJ's, go there to buy them. I get a box of 15 for like $12.89 at costco.

watch for glycerin and xylitol!! they are carbs but not counted in the nutrition facts...beware!!
