Wayne, who once planned to write a book biography on Schwarzenegger [the project was dropped after Schwarzenegger told him he would tie him up in court] is now a newspaper publisher in St. Lucia. He traveled to California for the interview, sources close to Wayne explain.
"He was completely forthcoming," one well-placed insider tells DRUDGE. "He laid it all on the line and talked candidly about his time with Arnold and what he feels is Arnold's insensitivity on racial issues."
The interview, conducted in late August, has ignited a heated debate within ABCNEWS.
"We still have plans to air it," an ABC source claimed late Monday from New York. But no date has been set.
One ABC executive, who demanded anonymity, said the network was waiting for an opportunity to confront Schwarzenegger with Wayne's interview in a live setting.
Meanwhile, Wayne is said to be considering other TV offers.
