Seems like you kinda went on the defensive with my post.
Imo I probably wouldn't arm wrestle seriously more than once a week. That's just my opinion because really intense arm wrestling on top of your lifting is hard on the tendons/ligaments and you are hitting your cns pretty hard.
Of course alot of guys train constantly so I guess it depends on what works best for you.
I have minimal technique and knowledge of arm wrestling, but I know how to take a wrist and turn my whole upper body into a lever.
I've beaten alaskan crabbers in arm wrestling and believe it or not those guys are absolutely beast from the raw power they develope from that work.
My best was when I weighed about 220lbs and beat a 190lbs high school champ from Montana. Granted I had him on weight, but this was a powerful kid/senior that had defeated alot of people from multiple high schools and I slammed his arm down so fast it wasn't even funny. The dazed look on his face and the few comments he made after....think I kinda shattered his arm wrestling confidence forever.
Enough of me bragging. It's great that you are training with some arm wrestlers. If I were you I would master the hook or press.
Before I even learned even rudimentary technique I performed the press. Slammed his wrist over and hunch over it as fast as possible and just man your weight down hard into it.
I don't know what arm wrestlers you are training with, but if you have beaten several of them already and none of them have the kind of wrist power I am talking about then you are training with some low grade guys.
