alcatraz pullup post

i guess the bottom line is a bodybuilder wants to be a crappy all round athlete but be huge, as looking at tons of posts, thats their main goal. no cardio, as it'll burn too mant calories.. just constantly eat to get "big, or bigger".to each his own.... the crossfit dude, looks super fit and is super fit, and is built very well too.their goal is to row faster and farther, do more pullups, lift heavier and with more reps, run faster and farther. the much better athlete.. by far.
hell, i had friends that bb lifted and trained for years, then these last 3-4 years did the xfit training.. they said there was no comparison.. way way way harder.i think most bb dont do xfit, cause they cant and its an ego blow when they can bench 405, but run a mile in 9 minutes, or cant do a muscle up.
i worked out with ken waller years ago, and though he was "big" the dude was no athlete at all. he looked uncorinated walking up 6 steps at the gum.seen arnold jogging.. wow. super tight bulky and slow..
all those hge guys are slow and non agile.they look awsome, as thats their goal, but to the everyday guy, thats on forums like these, i say train xfit.be an athlete, not a statue..
on the level all us on the board her are, you know, the ones that have to work for a living, and workout for the health, personal reasons, i would much rather look and feel like a xfit athlete not an athlete that trains only with bb movements.

I dunno brah. I hear you. However, for me, an ex athlete, but avg. joe, who has trained for roughly 17 years, off and on. I'm not looking to develop better neuro joint balance, or neuromuscular reaction, or sport specific capacity. Bodybuilder/athlete... words brah. Exclusive dichotomies are more for identification. I think we all wanna feel good, look good, set goals and accomplish them.
As far as exclusive labels, bro those are for magazine covers.

still don't understand the reasoning behind why someone would want to do some many pullups in one go

to test your endurance/athleticism.
what's the reasoning behind arm wrestling, seeing how much you can bench, how many pusphups you can do, etc.

They should just do my job on a hot summer day. They'll have all the x-fit training they'll ever want to see again in one 8hr day. Then they can go work out afterwards. If they can...

And also they won't have to act like they are trying to fuck an elephant. Basically its a daily obstacle course with 30-70lb cinder blocks in each hand:)

no bro you got it all wrong

the are championships that test how much you can lift and there are championships in armwrestling...both of which can make you lots of money, get you sponsorships and make you champion / famous

what can you accomplish with pullups??
